Fierce yet gentle, longhorn cattle almost seem like mythical creatures to me. Drawn to the tales of the farmers who raise them, I am fascinated by the beauty and the good ole’ fashioned hard work it takes to maintain them. “Art for the pasture, that’s what they are,” a farmer once told me. I am a visual chronicler of the modern-day west.
